Enjoy living outside the city in New Braunfels while working full-time as a Controls Project Manager with Unify Energy Solutions at our San Antonio branch. Interviews will be conducted in Houston, and you will be expected to relocate to New Braunfels/San Antonio area. Please note that this position does not offer relocation assistance. The BAS Project Manager will lead our team in the successful execution of building automation system projects. The BAS Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Ensures that quality standards are maintained for assigned projects.
Controls expenses by monitoring assigned project budget.
Receives and qualifies subcontractor proposals; supervises work of project assigned staff, subcontractors and installers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Plans and analyzes assigned projects, establishes schedules and project parameters and sets procedures to accomplish system objectives, involving complex contracting applications.
Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff.
Examines and reviews contracts and estimates by performing risk analysis and developing risk plans.
Ensures compliance with internal contracting processes.
Establishes an operations budget for assigned projects by revising the original estimate based on validated project scope.
Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion.
Responsible for the scheduling and ordering project material.
Scheduling and managing direct reports.
Meets with contractors and owners to discuss scope of project; budgets; performance; and close-out.
Supports the sales function by assisting with quote preparation and proposal.
Responsible for project cash-flow management: progress billing, collections support and monitoring, and resource management.
Responsible for change order management by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes and closing orders.
Ensures that quality standards are maintained for assigned projects.
Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Capability of troubleshooting automation control systems pertaining to air distribution equipment, air handlers, valves, variable speed equipment, exhaust systems, lighting, chill water, and boiler systems
Dedication to providing customers with innovative and superior building automation solutions and outstanding customer service.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications for communication and documentation.
Education and Experience:
5+ Years experience in Building Automation Systems Project Management on HVAC Controllers
Physical Requirements:
50% of travel is required to cover the territory
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
